Tianning Lake National Wetland Park is located in the northwest of the urban area of Kenli District and the north of the town of Shengtuo Town. It starts from Tianning Temple in the west and ends at Minfeng No. 3 Reservoir in the east, from Shengxing Road in the south and to Shengli Reservoir in the north. The overall planned area is 966.41 hectares, about 15,000 acres. Tianning Lake Park has a wetland area of 789.69 hectares, with a wetland rate of 81.71%, mainly composed of swamp wetlands, river wetlands and artificial wetlands. From the outline, it looks like a flying crane , and is close to Tianning Temple, so we summarize it as "The clouds of the Buddhist temple are surround the crane, and the auspicious sound surrounds Tianning".
Tianning Lake Park mainly implements five major projects: wetland protection and restoration, popular science education, scientific research monitoring, rational utilization, and community construction, and builds five blocks: wetland conservation area, restoration and reconstruction area, publicity and education display area, management service area, and rational utilization area. Specifically implement projects such as the west entrance, hydrophilic plank road, habitat island, RV camp, wetland science popularization and education center, natural schools, wetland ecological display area, east entrance, park main road, and supporting projects such as greening, monitoring, and boundary piles and boundary markings. In the implementation of the Tianning Lake National Wetland Park, Shengtuo Town thoroughly implements the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin, actively explores a long-term mechanism for coordinated wetland protection and rational utilization. On the premise of protecting the original ecological environment of the wetland, it appropriately introduces and develops modern health care, cultural tourism, popular science research and other projects, and strives to build high-standard urban wetlands integrating "flood storage, ecology, tourism, humanities, and landscapes", and creates the most beautiful "back garden" for leisure and entertainment for urban and rural residents.
