Digital orthopedics is an emerging interdisciplinary that combines computer science and orthopedic science. It involves digital anatomy (three-dimensional reconstruction), virtual simulation surgery for orthopedics, rapid orthopedic prototyping technology, orthopedic reverse engineering technology, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, preoperative planning, computer-aided orthopedic navigation surgery, orthopedic remote surgery and orthopedic robotic surgery, orthopedic finite element analysis, etc. With the rapid development of technologies such as artificial intelligence and D printing , digital orthopedics will surely promote the rapid progress of orthopedic surgery towards precision, personalization and minimally invasiveness.
The 8th issue of the CJTER series of medical and engineering fusion cloud classroom "Digital orthopedic typical research cases and future prospects" jointly sponsored by the journal " China Tissue Engineering Research " and the Liaoning Cell Biology Society. This conference will discuss typical research cases of digital orthopedics from the perspectives of "medical" and "industrial", and provide future prospects for related research, hoping to promote more research integration and create health together.
