The first generation of stilt houses only had an area of 10 square meters. The first generation of stilt houses did not have any wind resistance and could only serve as a shelter. This stilt house has limited space for activities and no other living facilities. Due to the supply capacity of our navy, it is difficult for the officers and soldiers guarding the reef to eat fresh vegetables.

Once the iron house is exposed to the sun, it will be very stuffy. At that time, the iron houses were not equipped with air-conditioning and other facilities, which resulted in difficult conditions for the officers and soldiers guarding the island.

The third-generation reinforced concrete building stilt house is equipped with seawater desalination facilities, rainwater collection system, satellite phone and other equipment.
