Recently, the Menaka detachment of the 10th China's engineering detachment to Mali peacekeeping force successfully passed the fourth quarter United Nations equipment verification. After the verification was completed, the UNMA East War Zone verification team gave the detachment a high evaluation.
It is understood that the United Nations equipment verification is usually conducted every 3 months, which is a comprehensive assessment of whether the main equipment provided by peacekeeping force can meet the task requirements. During this inspection, several nuclear officials from different countries conducted a comprehensive inspection of the detachment's vehicles, equipment, materials and United Nations assets. They also used on-site demonstrations by drawing some equipment operators and random questions to comprehensively test the ability of the detachment officers and soldiers to perform tasks. At the subsequent signing meeting, the inspector unanimously stated that they were deeply impressed by the excellent performance of China's weapons and equipment and the first-class standards of the Chinese military.
Since the deployment, the officers and soldiers of the detachment have overcome the threat of violent terrorists, high temperatures, scorching heat, and raging wind and sand, and have successively completed tasks such as building the periphery of the battalion, leveling the infantry camp site, building the defense facilities of civil fire stations, and excavating the power line trench. The high-standard work style has been highly praised by the Eastern War Zone of the United Ma Regiment. "We have the confidence and ability to pass every equipment verification with high standards and complete every construction task." said Xie Pengfei, the deputy team leader who led the team.
