Beidou navigation is increasingly widely used in people's daily lives. The reporter learned on the 17th that Gaode Map has recently launched the Beidou satellite positioning query system. When positioning and navigation, the public can view the number of Beidou satellites currently called, signal strength and other information.

As the satellite navigation system independently built and operated independently in my country, Beidou system can provide global users with all-weather, all-day and high-precision positioning, navigation and time teaching services, and is an extremely important national time and space infrastructure. Since the first Beidou-1 experimental navigation satellite was launched in 2000 and to the successful global networking of Beidou-3 in 2020, the deployment of the system in the civil field has become increasingly extensive and mature, and has begun to serve the people's livelihood in all aspects.
Under the guidance of the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office, the Beidou satellite positioning query system officially launched by Gaode Map can allow the public to have a deeper understanding of the ubiquitous support of the Beidou system while using navigation and traveling in daily use. Starting from now on, when users of Gaode Map using Android smartphones use driving, cycling, walking navigation and other services outdoors, they can click on the satellite angle mark in the interface to see how many Beidou satellites are involved in the current positioning process, and can also learn more about specific satellite numbers, azimuth angles, azimuth angles, altitude angles, frequency points, signal strength and other detailed information.
At present, this function has been launched in the Android version of Gaode Map APP. After users upgrade the APP to the latest version, they can query and experience it while navigating outdoors; when using iPhone users (iPhone 12 and above), they will see the prompt "Beidou Satellite is positioning for you" and the introduction of the Beidou system.
In addition, under the guidance and support of the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office, Gaode has also fully launched a series of mass travel services based on the Beidou system, including lane-level navigation, traffic light countdown, shared location safety reporting, etc., to help the popularization of this country's independent high-tech technology in the field of civil travel. Taking the "black technology" traffic light countdown function based on computing power launched this year as an example, one of its important reliances is the stable, continuous, efficient and accurate positioning ability of the Beidou system, which can intelligently calculate the countdown countdown of the current intersection red light, or the number of rounds to wait for users.
It is reported that as of now, more than half of the massive navigation services provided by Gaode Map to users every day have been implemented through the positioning capabilities of the Beidou system.
