On the epidemic prevention and control front, there is a special volunteer service team, and they all have a common identity - veterans. Veterans are active in every corner of epidemic prevention and control in various streets and communities. Some are carrying loudspeakers to persuade residents, some are silently staying at the isolation point, and some are specially helping to transport supplies... They interpreted the solemn oath of "if there is a war, they will be called back."
Dingling... The rapid ringtone of the mobile phone cut through the silent night sky. At around 3 a.m. on October 7, Wang Jianjun, a resident of the resident of 1 community in Xiangyang Street, Shihezi City, was woken up by the ringtone of his mobile phone. It turned out that an elderly resident in his 70s suddenly suffered from a disease and urgently needed to be sent to the hospital for treatment. Time is urgent, and it is important to save people. Wang Jianjun didn't think much about it. He immediately put on his protective suits, started the vehicle and rushed to the old man's downstairs, and sent the old man to the hospital for treatment. Because of the timely delivery of the hospital, the old man passed through the dangerous period and stabilized his condition.
Wang Jianjun, 64 years old this year, is a veteran. After the outbreak of this epidemic, Wang Jianjun volunteered to be a volunteer. After entering the work, Wang Jianjun’s main task was to do a good job of on-duty and on-duty emergency support vehicles. There were no cars in the community, so Wang Jianjun drove his car to the community for emergency support. Regardless of day and night, Wang Jianjun will dispatch urgently as soon as the people have something urgently needed to do and the work the community needs to do.
Once, a resident in the community had a hospitalized family member died of illness. The community arranged for Wang Jianjun and his staff to go to the funeral home to help with the burial procedures. While staying up late and running around, Wang Jianjun's blood pressure suddenly rose, but Wang Jianjun gritted his teeth and said nothing. When the feeling of discomfort was relieved, he hurried to the community to wait for the job arrangement.
There is also an equally busy veteran Zhang Zhenhua in the 56 community of Dongcheng Street.
56 community residents are dense, epidemic prevention and control situations are complex, and work tasks are heavy. After signing up to be a volunteer, Zhang Zhenhua became the busiest person in the community. His cell phone never dared to turn off, for fear of missing out on the phone calls from the public to consult questions, elderly people or sick residents for help. A small notebook that Zhang Zhenhua carried with him closely recorded which residents had elderly or patients and which residents needed to order supplies... His thoughtful and enthusiastic service was unanimously praised by the residents.

As soon as the truck that delivers supplies arrives at the east gate of the community, Zhang Zhenhua will lead the volunteers to unload the goods without stopping, and deliver them to residents' homes one by one according to the list of goods filled in by each building unit. On the most common day, Zhang Zhenhua unloaded 10 trains and delivered more than 100 servings of daily necessities such as vegetable packs, eggs, milk, rice, flour and oil.
Yan Jianjiang is a veteran who has served in the army for 10 years and was discharged from the army in 2012. In the face of the epidemic, Yan Jianjiang took the initiative to apply to be a volunteer.

On August 20, according to the arrangements of the Division and Municipal Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Command, Yan Jianjiang was transferred to the Yipin Lanshan Isolation Point in Zinan District, Shihe. After he started working, Yan Jianjiang ignored his age and strictly followed the work process to put on and take off protective clothing, do disinfection, deliver food, and collect garbage, without lagging behind in everything.
Once, he delivered breakfast to the quarantined personnel, but unfortunately the elevator broke down that day. In order to get 80 quarantined personnel to have dinner on time, he and his team members were wearing protective suits and climbing up the stairs. When 80 breakfasts were delivered to the quarantined personnel, all the clothes in his protective clothing could be wrung out.
