In August 1930, the Women's Army Special Service Company of the Second Independent Division and the Third Regiment of the Red Army were officially established in the Hainan Festival and began to write a legend. This company is the famous Red Detachment of Women in the history of the Chinese revolution.
In the summer of 1931, the enemy mobilized reactionary armed forces to harass Qiongya Soviet Area. In order to protect the Soviet Area, the Third Regiment organized an armed force, including the Women's Special Service Company, to fight back. The female spy company pretended to retreat according to the combat plan. When the enemy saw that the team was basically all women, he relaxed his vigilance. In this way, the female spy company led the enemy into the ambush circle of the large army.
With a command, light and heavy weapons fired at the same time, and it was too late to wait until the enemy reacted. At the same time, the enemy troops along the way stopped chasing after hearing the dense gunfire and hurriedly retreated.
After more than an hour of combat effectiveness, more than 20 enemies were killed, and more than 70 people were captured and nearly 100 long and short guns were seized. The female spy company was also praised by its superiors for its brave performance in this battle.
After the founding of New China, his deeds were adapted into film and television works. Over time, all the members of the original Red Detachment of Women have passed away, and the last member of the Red Detachment of Women who died was Lu Yexiang .
Lu Yexiang was born in Qionghai, Hainan in 1914. He participated in the Red Detachment of Women in 1931. Once, Lu Yexiang put on makeup and went to the enemy bunker to investigate. She also captured two enemy troops with bare hands and was praised by the organization. After the troops were broken into pieces, Lu Yexiang, who returned home, relied on her wit and courage to make the enemy lose again and again.
After the outbreak of the full-scale anti-Japanese war, Lu Yuexiang joined the anti-Japanese squad in the village. Once the Japanese army approached the village, Lu Yexiang took the lead in discovering that she issued a warning while ringing the gong and actively organized the villagers to retreat, so that the whole village could be safe.
In 2014, Lu Yexiang was accidentally scalded and was admitted to the hospital. His life was in critical condition. Local leaders were very concerned about Lu Yexiang's health and bear all the medical expenses after hospitalization.
On April 19, Lu Yexiang passed away shortly after being taken home at the age of 100.
Since then, all members of the Red Detachment of Women have passed away.
