Lu Yexiang was born in Qionghai, Hainan in 1914. He participated in the Red Detachment of Women in 1931. Once, Lu Yexiang put on makeup and went to the enemy bunker to investigate. She also captured two enemy troops with bare hands and was praised by the organization. After the troops were broken into pieces, Lu Yexiang, who returned home, relied on her wit and courage to make the enemy lose again and again.

After the outbreak of the full-scale anti-Japanese war, Lu Yuexiang joined the anti-Japanese squad in the village. Once the Japanese army approached the village, Lu Yexiang took the lead in discovering that she issued a warning while ringing the gong and actively organized the villagers to retreat, so that the whole village could be safe.
