1904 Huang Wei was born in a farmer's house in Shengyuan Township, Guixi, Jiangxi Province. His father died early. He graduated from the county's No. 1 Higher Primary School in his early years, and later admitted to the Ehu Normal University and graduated with excellent results and returned to his hometown to serve as a primary school teacher.
