G7 held an emergency meeting with Zelensky
Group of the Seven Major Industrial Countries (G7) leaders held an emergency online meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky on the 11th to discuss the Russian-Ukrainian war; according to the statement released after the meeting, G7 and Ukraine severely condemned Russia's attack on Ukrainian civil facilities with missile , causing innocent civilian casualties, and declared that they would hold Russian President Putin and others responsible for their war crimes, and called on Belarus to stop promoting Russian aggression.
Russia-Ukraine war broke out at the end of February. Ukraine has received support from Western countries led by the United States to continue to fight, while Russia faces joint sanctions from Western countries. G7 leaders called on the Belarusian authorities to stop supporting the Russian army to invade Ukraine through the territory. Belarus recently announced that the formation of joint forces with the Russian military and Communist Party is the latest example of bilateral conspiracy. G7 once again called on the Belarusian authorities to abide by their obligations under international law.
"We are unwaveringly committed to providing the support needed by Ukraine to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We will continue to provide financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal support and stand firmly with Ukraine for a long and firm manner. We are committed to supporting Ukraine in meeting its winter combat readiness needs." The G7 statement stated.
