After growing up into a cadre, Yuan Feng has always been active on the front line of training and preparation. In May 2017, the company was transformed into a reconnaissance company. Yuan Feng, who was then the platoon leader, returned to the team early just one week after his wedding, formed a professional training team, opened a non-commissioned night school, took the lead in studying key and difficult courses, and compiled more than 200,000 words of training and teaching materials. In response to the fear of difficulties in the transformation of officers and soldiers, he encouraged everyone to establish confidence and take the lead in setting off a transformation training boom by telling his personal experience from "step" to "special". Six types of scout training methods have been summarized, and more than 10 types of training and protection equipment have been innovated in 4 categories, making the company's transformation and construction at the forefront of the entire brigade.

Through day training, evening teaching, and the end of the month exam, he quickly trained a group of backbone soldiers who could teach and train. Facing a new position, he set a goal for himself, so that the reconnaissance company can truly become a clairvoyance and a smooth ear for the brigade.Focusing on the new equipment distributed by the company in recent years, Yuan Feng took the lead in setting up multiple attack teams. Through careful study of textbooks, reviewing materials and learning from the information, contacting equipment manufacturers, officers and soldiers have successively mastered the operation methods of the new equipment. He opened a "scout class" in the company, allowing top trainers to teach on stage every week, share skills, and teach unique skills, and train all the officers and soldiers of the company into versatile reconnaissance vanguards. Since becoming the company commander, 10 people in the company led by Yuan Feng have been admitted to the military academy, 5 people have appeared in the military competition arena, and nearly 100 people have been awarded for their meritorious service.
