Since US House Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan, the situation in the Taiwan Strait has become increasingly tense, and the United States is undoubtedly adding fuel to the fire. It is worth mentioning that on the day of US lawmakers' visit to Taiwan, Chairman of the Taiwan Mainland Committee Qiu Taisan also called on the mainland, saying that he hoped to ease tensions in the Taiwan Strait.
Qiu Taisan said that cross-strait political differences should be resolved peacefully, and emphasized that only communication can reduce misjudgments and prevent the situation in Taiwan from getting out of control. Although Qiu Taisan's vision is good, his entire speech is inverting black and white, and it is still the same as the Taiwan authorities.
At the beginning of his speech, Qiu Taisan shirked responsibility to the mainland, saying that the mainland's military exercises around Taiwan and economic sanctions on Taiwan and legal sanctions have changed the status quo of the Taiwan Strait, causing the situation to heat up and undermine regional security. However, the reality is that the US House of Representatives Speaker Pelosi insisted on visiting Taiwan, causing tension in the Taiwan Strait, and the Taiwan authorities also welcomed it warmly.
One of the United States and Taiwan fanned the flames, and the other used foreign countries to seek "independence", which openly damaged China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, undermined cross-strait relations, and affected peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait region. The People's Liberation Army's Taiwan-Entertainment Exercise is a legitimate countermeasure. It is clearly because the Taiwan authorities undermined the "1992 Consensus " first, which led to tensions in cross-strait relations.
Now the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council has turned around and throws dirty water on the mainland, intending to act as a victim and gain sympathy internationally. The Taiwan authorities are sinister in their hearts. As for the economic sanctions mentioned by Qiu Taisan, the mainland is all based on formal procedures and has evidence to follow. There is no pressure from the Taiwan authorities.
The mainland suspends the input of Taiwan’s agricultural products because chemical element exceeds the standard and does not comply with mainland customs regulations. The Taiwan authorities can accept the "rai pigs" exported by the United States regardless of people's livelihood, but the mainland must consider the health of the people. As for the legal sanctions in mainland China, it is also because the "Taiwan independence" elements on the island are provoking first, and the "Taiwan independence" elements listed by the mainland are definitely not innocent.
We are always full of kindness to our compatriots in Taiwan. Moreover, Taiwanese compatriots come to the mainland to start businesses, and the mainland also actively supports them and has relevant policies to benefit Taiwan. Therefore, the mainland's position has not changed from beginning to end, and it is the "Taiwan independence" elements that have been provoking it.
In his subsequent speech, Qiu Taisan also tried to extend the Taiwan Strait issue to international affairs, accusing the mainland of "doing the direction of the international pattern through coercion", imitating the United States' usual routine, intending to hype the "China threat", and claiming the mainland's " Expansion will affect the situation in the East China Sea , South China Sea and the entire Indo-Pacific region.
can only be said that Qiu Taisan has lost his skills. First of all, mainland China has always followed the path of peaceful rise and never became king and has no intention of competing for the position of "world hegemony" with the United States. Moreover, Taiwan issue is a matter of China's internal affairs. No matter what method China takes to resolve the Taiwan issue, other countries have no right to make any statements, and there is no so-called expansionary power.
I advise Qiu Taisan and others not to try to be respectful. In fact, most countries recognize the one-China principle. After Pelosi visited Taiwan, more than 100 countries spoke out to support mainland China. This is enough to show that most countries distinguish right from wrong and respect history.
The United States, Japan, France and other countries insist on standing opposite to the truth, which can only show their stupidity. Moreover, these countries have some intentions to support Taiwan, and want to use support to the Taiwan authorities to check and balance the mainland, and may abandon the Taiwan authorities in the future. Therefore, the Taiwan authorities have not found a stable backer.
In short, there is no room for bargaining for the Taiwan issue. The mainland also hopes to resolve differences in peace. Qiu Taisan said that the Taiwan authorities do not want military confrontation, but the pace of the Taiwan authorities' purchase of arms has not stopped recently, and the defense budget is getting higher and higher every year.
And the fundamental reason for the differences between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait is that the Taiwan authorities have acquiesced to the visits of delegations from many countries and negotiated cooperation with them, constantly challenging the bottom line of the mainland. It can be seen that the Taiwan authorities have no sincerity in communication. If the situation in the Taiwan Strait falls out of control, it will be caused by the Taiwan authorities. Instead of calling out to the mainland, Qiu Taisan might as well persuade the Taiwan authorities to recognize the reality and act cautiously.
