In the revolutionary era, many revolutionaries were willing to go through fire and water in order to build a prosperous, strong and independent new China, sacrificing their lives and blood. Among them, General Du Yide is the most special one.
General Du Yide is known in the army for his resolute execution of orders. "Resolutely complete the task and resolutely destroy the enemy" is his mantra, which shows that his revolutionary enthusiasm is extremely high. An important reason why Du Yide hated the old society so deeply was that the landlords in the old society owed him a blood debt-his father died at the hands of the landlord class. It wasn't until more than ten years later that he got Deng Gong's permission to personally carry the machine gun back to his hometown to avenge his father, and wiped out more than a hundred enemies in one battle.
Why did Du Yide’s father suffer persecution from the landlord class? This starts with Du Yide’s participation in the revolution. In 1912, Du Yide was born into a poor peasant family in Huangpi District, Wuhan, Hubei Province. His family made a living by farming land for landlords. Since childhood, Du Yide has been brutally oppressed by landlords and beaten and scolded constantly. This also paved the way for him to resist the landlords and embark on the road of revolution.
Later, Du Yide came to the urban area of Wuhan and prepared to work to make a living. At this time, he met Li Xiannian who was promoting red ideas in Wuhan. Du Yide quickly accepted Marxist ideas and became a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1928, Du Yide joined the Red Guards, and a year later officially joined the Red Army. At this time, Du Yide was only a 17-year-old boy.
However, thanks to Du Yide's climbing and rolling in the mountains since he was a child, he is very familiar with everything in the mountains, and he has repeatedly made extraordinary achievements in leading the Red Army to deal with the enemy. Soon, Du Yide made a name for himself in the local area, but this also aroused the hatred of the reactionary landlord class towards him.
Father's Blood Feud
The reason why the landlord class hates Du Yide is because of his outstanding performance in the Red Army. Once the Red Army attacks them, it will inevitably carry out agrarian revolution , that is, "attack the local tyrants and divide the land." This undoubtedly touched the lifeblood of the landowners. In order to eliminate the Red Army led by Du Yide, the landlords formed an alliance with the reactionary Kuomintang government, formed the "Landlord Returning Group", and began to encircle and suppress the Red Army.
But Du Yide was very familiar with the mountains, and he fought extremely bravely. He often dared to take the lead and personally killed the enemy to a great defeat. The Landlord Returning Group had nothing to do with Du Yide, so they looked at Du Yide's family with sinister eyes.
In 1930, the Landlord Returning Group entered Dujia Village in a show of force and began to search for relatives who were related to Du Yide. Du Yide's father knew that the situation was not good. In order to cover the evacuation of his family, he reluctantly sent his wife and children away, and then continued to stay at home, waiting for the landlord return home delegation to come.
The enemy quickly searched for Du Yide's father, took him back to prison, and tried to use to torture to force him to tell Du Yide's whereabouts. Unexpectedly, as the saying goes, like a son, like a father, Du Yide was a hero in the Red Army, and his father was also a tough guy. He insisted on keeping silent in the face of torture by the enemy, and was later tortured to death by the cruel enemy.
At this time, Du Yide was fighting in the field. When he received the news that his father had been persecuted to death by the Landlord Returning Group, he was shocked. But at this time, the battlefield situation he faced was also very urgent, so this outstanding Red Army commander endured the pain of losing his father and continued to command the Red Army to destroy the enemy. And he also secretly made up his mind to make the reactionaries who murdered his father pay with blood.
Blood debts are paid with blood.
Later, Du Yide followed the troops on the Long March and participated in the Anti-Japanese War, all the way to the Liberation War period of the Civil War between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party. In 1947, the People's Liberation Army had already planned to launch a strategic counterattack, and after the opening The battle was when Liu and Deng's army advanced into the Dabie Mountains of and penetrated into the heart of the national army.
In the battle to advance into the Dabie Mountains, Du Yide served as the political commissar of the first column of the middle field and was Deng Xiaoping's capable subordinate. Dabie Mountain is the hometown where Du Yide grew up. Back then, due to their weak strength, the Red Army had to leave their homeland during the anti-encirclement and suppression war and embarked on the Long March. Now the People's Liberation Army has strong forces, and he finally returned to his hometown where he had not returned for many years.
However, after returning here, his father's blood debt also appeared in his heart. Today, the People's Liberation Army is an unstoppable force, having overcome the natural dangers of the Yellow River and entering the Dabie Mountains. The arrogant "Landlord Security Group" at that time was already a mess and was no match for the People's Liberation Army. So, Du Yide's chance to avenge his father finally came.
Before setting off, Du Yide specifically asked his leader, Deng Xiaoping, for instructions. After learning that his subordinates had such a tragic experience, Deng Xiaoping couldn't help but be moved. He personally instructed Du Yide to be equipped with a machine gun so that he could kill all the reactionaries who murdered his father. Du Yide quickly led the combat team to surround the "Landlord Returning Group" that was domineering at the time.
The Landlord Returning Group saw the People's Liberation Army coming back, frightened into panic , and tried to take up firearms to fight back. But at this time, Du Yide had a powerful machine gun, how could he give the enemy a chance to fight back? Under the firepower of the machine guns, every enemy fell. After the war, Du Yide counted that hundreds of reactionary militants were eliminated in this battle, and his father's blood revenge was finally avenged.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, due to Du Yide's great sacrifice and contribution in the establishment of the Republic, he was awarded the military rank of founding lieutenant general. Du Yide's experience of forbearing for many years to avenge his father has also become a legend in the military.
