List of application materials for the Hong Kong Talents Program
Personal information documents
- Resume and plan to go to Hong Kong;
- A copy of the applicant’s Hong Kong and Macao pass;
- A copy of ID (C) 981 form (the content of the form can be written electronically, preferably in traditional Chinese characters, The signature needs to be handwritten);
- A copy of the applicant’s ID card;
- A copy of the applicant’s household register;
- A copy of the marriage certificate;
- The original applicant’s ID photo: 55mm*45mm, color photo with white background;
- Local public security bureau or police station to apply for the "Certificate of No Criminal Record" (the original is required, and it will be explained when applying for the Talent Program).
Note: If the applicant brings a spouse and children under the age of 18, he or she must provide the spouse and children’s ID cards/household registers/Hong Kong and Macao passes/photos and other relevant materials.
Asset certificate file
Asset certificate document of RMB 200,000 for an individual and RMB 300,000 for a family. The purpose is to prove that the individual’s financial ability is sufficient to support himself (and his dependents) for one year. Asset certification documents do not need to provide the source of the assets.
The following can be used as asset certification documents:
- bank deposits and passbooks of personal balances;
- real estate certificates, mortgage and house loan contracts;
- documents proving the current market value of stocks, bonds, etc.;
- equity of companies and businesses.
Educational and language certification documents
Educational certification documents:
Copies of academic degree certificates, original degree certification reports, overseas academic qualifications are required to provide sealed originals of foreign university transcripts;
Relevant material proof of professional qualifications must be based on the specific professional qualifications reported, and materials issued by relevant institutions that "satisfy the Immigration Department" must be provided.
Language proficiency certification documents:
IELTS or TOEFL scores in the past two years (IELTS 6 points, TOEFL written test 550/computer-based test 213 points/internet test 80 points).
Note: If the applicant graduated from studying abroad, it depends on the country where the applicant studied. If it is an English-speaking country, there is no need to provide IELTS and other English scores.

Work experience
Please ensure that the company name, working time period, and position title of the documents provided for each period of work are consistent; if you have overseas work experience, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, please provide valid visas, entry-exit records and other supporting documents.
Management experience
If the applicant has management experience, he/she needs to provide relevant supporting documents, such as organizational chart or management authority description.
Employer recommendation letter
Employer recommendation letter must be printed on stationery showing company information, stamped by the company, and signed by an authorized person. The content is roughly: name, employment time, position, responsibilities, salary, work achievements, etc.
