Foreigners Internet Service Agency Internationals released the ranking of the world's most suitable cities for foreigners and the worst cities rankings of the world. More than half of the ten cities that are most unfavorable to immigration are in Europe, with Germany accounting for two.
Johannesburg, South Africa, was rated as the worst city. About 25% of respondents said they felt that life was unaffordable there and many felt unsafe.
Web Services Internationals released the ranking of the best cities and worst cities for expats in 2022. Foreigners in the survey refer to those who have lived abroad on behalf of the company without naturalization. Many of the poorly performed cities are European cities.
Internationals will conduct annual assessments of foreigners’ cities since 2014. Between February 1 and 28, 2022, they conducted a survey of nearly 12,000 foreigners in 181 different countries. Respondents included expats, international workers and people who moved to other countries to find jobs. Internationals ranks 52 different aspects this year. These include living conditions, overall quality of life, the speed at which respondents can adapt to their new place of residence, job opportunities and conditions in the city, personal financial status, and basic requirements for the lives of foreigners.
Port city of Spain Valencia was rated as the most suitable city for foreigners. Respondents highly praised Valencia's cheap public transport and considered it very safe there.
However, six of the ten lowest-rated cities are in Europe. Two in Asia, one in North America and one in Africa.

Rome, Italy
One of the worst cities, Italy occupies two. 73% of expats criticized the Italian capital Rome that it is difficult to deal with local authorities, and 50 people have bad reviews on the online platform of administrative and government services. In addition, 30% of respondents said they were concerned about the Italian economy.
Internationals commented, "The bureaucracy in Italy is very large, and text work has its advantages. Most foreigners who hold valid visas and reside in Rome enjoy the same public health care rights as Italian citizens."

Tokyo, Japan
Japan's capital Tokyo is a destination particularly favored by foreigners. But many of them criticized the poor working conditions there. 25% of respondents said they were not satisfied with their working hours. 30% criticize the lack of work-life balance, while over 60 people believe that local business culture kills creativity.
An American living in Tokyo said that Japan's work culture is "a bit closed to new ideas." Another expat from Indonesia said that Japan's work ethics are "very strict and inflexible".

Vancouver, Canada
Vancouver is one of the largest cities in Canada and is the only city in North America that is listed as the least suitable for expatriates. According to an Internationals survey, 69% of expats believe that living here is too expensive, and more than 50% of respondents say their family income is not high enough to live a comfortable life.
In addition, 40% of people are not satisfied with the social life of the city. A foreigner complained, "It is very difficult to enter a social circle that has been established."
