On October 26th local time, Canada conducted a new round of fast-track screening. The screening score continued to decline. As we predicted, it has dropped below 500 points.
The lowest score for this screening was 496 points, and a total of 4,750 applicants received invitations (ITAs). This is the first time that the score of the Canadian recovery fast track full-category filter was below 500 points. The decrease in the score of
has allowed more people to receive invitations, and this has also been verified in the previous eight rounds of screening. In the screening before , the number of applicants who received invitations gradually increased with the decrease in scores.
We know that age is an important factor in applying for fast track, but for applicants over thirty years old, this bonus will decrease with the increase of age. So what other ways do applicants can improve their scores? Let’s take a look!
CRS Comprehensive Scoring System
CRS is the main basis for the Canadian Immigration Agency to invite fast-track applicants. Applicants can apply for three projects of fast-track with this system: Canadian Experience Immigration (CEC), Canadian Federal Skilled Immigration (FSWP) and Canadian Federal Skilled Immigration (FSTP).
CRS first evaluates the applicant's "core human capital factors", including the applicant's age, education level, first language ability (English or French), second language ability (English or French), and Canadian work experience.
In this scoring system, applicants aged 20-29 can get the highest age bonus points. If is over 30 years old, the score in terms of age will decrease year by year, 95 points for 30 years old, 90 points for 31 years old, and so on, applicants aged 45 years old and above will have 0 points for age.

2. Get job opportunities
Another way to improve the applicant's CRS score is to obtain a Canadian job offer. The applicant holds a valid offer when submitting the application and explains all job requirements in detail, including salary, responsibilities and employment conditions, and can get an additional bonus of 50 or 200 depending on the position.
3. Improve language proficiency
Language proficiency is another key factor in CRS score, divided into first language ability and second language ability to judge the applicant's English and French proficiency.
Language ability is divided into four parts: writing, reading, speaking, and listening. It can get extra points for applicants. The specific number of bonus points can be obtained depends on the spouse/partner's situation.
Language ability is also very valuable for applicants because it can calculate scores in multiple parts. Specifically, language proficiency as a separate influencing factor in the CRS can add points to applicants in the following four larger categories: human capital factors, spousal factors (if applicable), skill transferability, and additional factors. In addition, language proficiency can also be combined with other factors such as education to further improve the applicant's score.
4. Education bonus points
Education is another element of the "core human capital factor". According to where the applicant obtains the certificate (in Canada or outside Canada), he can get a CRS score of 200 to 250 points.
Therefore, obtaining an additional certificate, such as another degree or an Education Certificate Assessment (ECA) for an existing degree, can help applicants maximize their scores.
55. Consider using spouse/partner as the main applicant (if applicable)
