Recently, when the supervision and inspection team of the Yizhang County Commission for Discipline Inspection paid a return visit to the rectification of daily management problems in the public toilets in Tiekeng Village, Wuling Town, nearby villagers felt new changes.
The "four" inspection team of the Yizhang County Discipline Inspection and Supervision Committee inquired in detail about the daily operation of public toilets in Huangshi Village, Meitian Town.
Since last year, the Yizhang County Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has taken the problem of using public resources for personal gain and corruption as a breakthrough and starting point to solve the "urgent difficulties and worries" around the people. It has carried out special rectification on the "four" outstanding problems of academic degrees, beds, parking spaces, and toilets in the county, resolutely correcting corruption and work style problems around the people, urging the strengthening of industry supervision and system improvement, and improving the people's sense of gain and happiness with good rectification results.
In September 2021, the Yizhang County Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision formulated and issued the "Special Rectification Work Plan for the "Four" Prominent Issues in Yizhang County", which refined the related problems existing in the "Four" aspects into 28 rectification contents in 4 aspects, effectively identifying the problem phenomenon and grasping the focus of the rectification work. Yizhang County Discipline Inspection and Supervision Committee transferred the issue to the County Urban Management and Comprehensive Law Enforcement Bureau for handling. After investigation, this section of road is commercial land and serves as a fire escape. Residents in this community have problems such as privately occupying public resources, setting up private access control, failing to go through the approval procedures related to parking fees, and charging parking fees indiscriminately. The bureau issued a notice to dismantle toll booths and other charging equipment so that citizens can come and go freely and park for free in parking spaces.
"After the intersection access control is removed, it will be much more convenient to rent out the storefront, and it will be much easier for vehicles to enter and exit!" said a merchant at a store in Zijing Street Community.
In view of the difficulties in people's livelihood such as "difficulties in schooling", "difficulties in medical treatment" and "difficulties in parking" reflected in the rectification process, the county's disciplinary inspection and supervision agencies urged relevant competent departments to increase their efforts to solve problems and achieve significant improvements. According to statistics, in the past year, the county has added 5,300 new academic degrees, 3,569 beds, and 2,616 parking spaces. It has completed the reconstruction of rural household toilets for 15,307 households and 537 rural public toilets, which has greatly enhanced the people's sense of gain, security, and happiness.

Since the special rectification, Yizhang County has investigated and dealt with 110 "four-person" problems, dealt with 22 relevant personnel, given party discipline and government sanctions to 4 people, recovered more than 6.29 million yuan of funds, and returned more than 1.28 million yuan of public funds.
