China Taiwan Network, December 15th. The 2022 Fujian-Taiwan Intellectual Property Roundtable Conference was recently held in Xiamen . The theme of this conference is "Opportunities and Challenges in Promoting the High-Quality Development of " and more than 80 experts and scholars in the field of intellectual property on both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the conference online and offline to discuss hot and difficult issues in the field of intellectual property exchanges and cooperation.

Professor Zhang Ping of Peking University School of Law said that my country is building an open innovation ecosystem with global competitiveness, but the legal risks and intellectual property issues still need to be discussed and understood in depth. "Protecting intellectual property rights is protecting innovation. Any country or region, if the economic development reaches a certain level, it must take the path of innovation and development."
Xiamen University Intellectual Property Research Institute , Dean of Lin Xiuqin , said that although Taiwan's intellectual property work started earlier, the mainland market has a large and potential, and there are many places to learn from each other. Through cross-strait exchanges, intellectual property cooperation can be enhanced, the forces of the two sides of the Taiwan Strait can be united, and the forces of the two sides can be jointly provided with inexhaustible impetus for the intellectual property cause and the high-quality economic development.
Liu Zhengying, director of the Fujian Provincial Intellectual Property Development and Protection Center, said that in recent years, intellectual property exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan have been steadily promoted. In the future, we will continue to encourage and support more high-quality talents in Taiwan’s intellectual property field to come to Fujian for exchanges, study and work, and continue to promote the equalization, universalization and convenience of intellectual property public services, so that Taiwanese compatriots can share the dividends and development achievements of intellectual property policies, and actively promote cross-strait intellectual property exchanges and cooperation to a wider range and higher level.
