China Energy Engineering Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as General Technology Energy Company) is the first strategic business unit of the central enterprise General Technology Group in the field of energy engineering. It is a subsidiary of General Technology Group International Holdings Co., Ltd., which has been deeply involved in the field of international engineering contracting and has a cumulative implementation of project contracts of approximately US$9.5 billion, forming a good trend of rolling project development in national markets such as Malaysia , Bangladesh, Vietnam, Indonesia , Sudan , Pakistan , and Ukraine. For a long time, General Technology Energy Company has adhered to the idea of party building leading the Youth League and increasing vitality. Under the leadership of party organizations at the same level and higher-level youth organizations, the Youth League General Branch has united and led the majority of young employees to participate in the construction of the "Belt and Road" and serve the national strategic deployment. When the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission held a symposium on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech at the celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the League, the Central Enterprise Youth League Working Committee issued an initiative to 5 million young people in central enterprises to "maintain the core, support the leaders, fight with the party, and be brave enough to strengthen the country and develop enterprises." As the basic unit of the work and activities of the League, the grassroots Youth League organizations of central enterprises go deep into the front line of production and operation, closely connect with young employees, and have distinctive advantages in caring about what young people think, solving what young people want, and responding to what they like and love, and playing an important role.
General Technology Energy Company's League Organization has always adhered to the leadership of the Party, with distinct marks of the times and corporate characteristics.
First, serve production and operation and create a "learning organization". Guided by political theory learning, the Youth League organization regularly organizes ideological exchanges and conducts professional literacy training. With the company's participation in the business development of the "Belt and Road" project, the youth league branch has been adjusted from the Youth League branch to the Youth League general branch, and overseas youth league branches have been established to promote the deep integration of the Youth League building work with domestic and foreign projects, and help employees consolidate their abilities and make contributions in their positions. In order to welcome the successful convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and warmly celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League, the Youth League General Branch of General Technology Energy Company carried out a series of ideological education activities to unite and lead the majority of young employees to firmly follow the Party and make contributions to the new era. We will earnestly study the summary of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on youth work, the spirit of the important speech at the opening ceremony of the training class for young and middle-aged cadres of the Central Party School (National School of Administration), and organize visits to red education bases such as Taoranting Cifeng Temple, and present flowers to the tomb of the Martyrs of the First Secretary of the Beijing Socialist Youth League, Gao Junyu, and martyrs. In accordance with the requirements of the superior, the Youth League Branch of General Technology Energy Company vigorously strengthens the construction of youth strength for the "Trunk Master Team", creates role models, form leading and demonstration, promote business development, and drives young people to focus on the field of overseas engineering construction, continuously broaden their international horizons, strengthen professional qualities, grow into experts in this field, and give full play to the positive energy of youth.
Take the Malaysian project team as an example. The young employees of this team account for 61.9%. Since its establishment, they have been guided by the slogan of "upholding integrity, innovation, shining youthful style, and always maintaining a childish sentiment". They have won many collective honors such as the National Youth Civilization Number (Specially Recommended Collectives), the Youth Civilization Number of Central Enterprises, etc., and have carried out many large-scale energy and electricity projects in Southeast Asian markets. According to the work needs of building overseas projects, a large number of young people in the company have been sticking to key countries along the "Belt and Road" for a long time, experiencing the work pressure of tight construction schedules and heavy tasks, and overcame homesickness from the motherland and family. Especially since the outbreak of the new crown epidemic, the overseas epidemic situation has been severe, and the flight circuit breakers have occurred frequently. The regular frequency of returning to China is difficult to guarantee.
