Under the fire of the United States and Britain, the Russo-Ukrainian war raged from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. The two sides continued to fire on the battlefield, and there was constant talk outside the battlefield. Recently, Ukraine planned to do a big thing - to expel Russia from the United Nations, but was immediately hit back by Russia.
Recently, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Zakharova accepted an interview with the Russian media and publicly stated that we "do not need to do anything" regarding Ukraine's call to exclude Russia from the United Nations Security Council, because this is equivalent to "the dog is barking, but the caravan is still moving forward." This is a pathological statement that has no "historical logic" and will not bring any consequences. Zakharova also mocked that there have been "many villains" in Ukraine's short decades of history, who allowed their country to be completely destroyed and pushed it "to the brink of disaster."
"The dogs are barking but the caravan is still moving forward." This is a Russian folk proverb. It is just right to use it here to describe Ukraine's arrogance and ignorance. This makes people laugh. If Ukrainians heard it, they would probably find it quite heartbreaking. But Ukraine is also true. Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently issued a statement to the effect that Russia's seat on the Security Council and even its seat in the United Nations are illegal. Russia becoming one of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council is bypassing the " United Nations Charter" and usurping the Soviet Union's seat. Obviously, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ignores the actual situation and only knows to throw out random remarks, but it cannot change any facts. Zakharova's reply hit the nail on the head.
Ukraine's attempt to remove Russia from its seat as a permanent member of the Security Council and even expel it from the United Nations sounds like a crazy idea. Fortunately, Zelensky's government figured it out, said it openly, and even planned to continue doing so. If the Zelensky government had a clearer mind, it would know that this matter is too difficult. Of course, this can cause some humiliation to Russia, but it also casts doubt on the other four permanent members, including the United States, the master behind Ukraine. Just imagine: When Russia inherited all the rights and interests of the Soviet Union in the United Nations, if the United States did not agree, what would happen?
still needs to emphasize the difficulty of this matter again. To expel Russia from the United Nations, even if all procedures are passed as Ukraine wishes, it will still have to pass the vote of the permanent members of the Security Council. Will Russia vote for it on its own?
I have to say that Ukraine is getting more and more crazy. Now that we are in the midst of a conflict, it is understandable that Ukraine should proactively engage in a public opinion war, a diplomatic war, and humiliate and belittle Russia. However, Ukraine should not jump too high. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued such a ridiculous statement, which indeed seems very sick. It should show a mentality that values its own status too high and thinks that with the support of a group of Western countries such as the United States and Britain, it will truly become a big shot on the international stage. No matter what demands are made, even if they are quite unreasonable, they will be given and asked for. Since the outbreak of the
conflict, Ukraine has indeed become the focus of global public opinion, and Zelensky has also become the most popular Internet celebrity in the world. For example, Western government officials have rushed to Kiev to "check in", take photos with them, and Zelensky has appeared at the United Nations and other international occasions to give speeches. More importantly, Zelensky kept asking the United States, Europe and the West for various military assistance, but was basically satisfied by the latter. This time he actually received the "Patriot" missile system . All of this seems to make the Zelenskiy government increasingly lose itself, truly believing that the world must revolve around Ukraine.
But in fact, in the eyes of the international community, Ukraine is just an out-and-out wretch, or a self-sacrifice for the hegemonic interests of the United States. For the sake of the tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians who are struggling in the war and severe cold, I would like to advise the Zelenskiy government to adjust a little and stop engaging in nonsense all day long.
