No matter how the world situation changes, the confrontation between major powers around China and the United States is still the top priority. This is well confirmed in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Even if the United States is deeply trapped in European chaos, they can still withdraw from their homes to deal with China. But at the same time, Americans began to intensively admit some facts.
The Washington Post pointed out that China's space program has been behind the United States for many years. Astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell admitted: China is now on par with the United States in space. The incident that led to this cognitive change in Americans was that the last section of the Chinese space station was successfully launched and docked.
Another example is that in the economic field, a report published by the National Institute of Economics shows that the economic status between the United States and China is swapping. According to the institution's vision, the super new overlord of the world economy in the future will be China, and this conclusion is almost certain, in the words of the Americans, "unless extreme situations occur."
This makes people think, in the critical period of Sino-US competition, Americans have successively admitted these facts. Does it mean that the victory of anti-hegemony is approaching? Judging from the decline of hegemony and China's development achievements, victory is inevitable. However, what is before more countries and people is uncertainty about this inevitability. For example, the West is biased against China. They once thought that it was a complete luck for the Chinese to get to this point.
Therefore, it is not widely persuasive to gain a confrontational advantage in just a few areas. If we want to truly declare the victory of this confrontation, we must achieve results in all aspects and achieve victory in the entire system. This also determines that the Sino-US confrontation will go through a long process, or in other words, the Sino-US confrontation is a protracted war.
At present, the overall development trend in my country is improving, which is something worth celebrating. But at the same time, we cannot be blindly optimistic, and what is facing us is still full of difficulties. On the road to rise, we have to face not only the United States, but Western hegemony power led by the United States. Japan and South Korea have successively announced their participation in NATO affiliates, becoming the fulcrum for NATO to expand eastward to the Indo-Pacific. In the future, China will face at least triple resistance in the Pacific region, including the United States, the Indo-Pacific countries represented by Japan, South Korea and Australia, as well as European countries. The deterioration of the strategic environment around the Indo-Pacific is inevitable.
In addition, hegemony collapses is inevitable, but it is definitely not that fast. Taking the hegemony of the US dollar as an example, at least for a long time, it has been difficult for countries around the world to find a currency with stronger comprehensive capabilities to replace the US dollar, and no currency can match the influence of the US dollar. What's more, if the hegemony of the US dollar is reduced, there will be technological hegemony and military hegemony...
So from this point of view, the confrontation between China and the United States will continue for a long time. Although the process is long, we have the belief that we must win. Americans regard it as the "rise of China" that is thorny in their eyes. It is just a normal state for us to get back our own honor and return to the historical process.
