htmlOn October 26, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin presided over a regular press conference.
A reporter asked a question. According to reports, a few days ago, the "Xinhaiyan-1" scientific research ship of Taiwan University was called and interfered by the Japan Coast Security Bureau patrol ship during its operation in the waters east of Taiwan Island, saying that scientific research ships are not allowed to be conducted in Japan's exclusive economic zone without the consent of the Japanese side. Wang Wenbin said that China and Japan have not yet demarcated their boundaries in the waters east of Taiwan, and China does not accept the so-called exclusive economic zone of Japan and the so-called exercise of jurisdiction. China has filed negotiations with Japan, demanding that Japan not interfere with the scientific research activities of Chinese ships, including Taiwan, in the waters.
