According to Russia Today (RT) news, on the 24th local time, Russian Prime Minister m Shushin removed Alexander Sukhanov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation. The latter's main work includes ensuring the safety of strategically significant transportation facilities such as Crimea Bridge .
RT cited Russian media RBK as saying that Sukhanov's dismissal may be related to the truck bombing on the Crimea Bridge that occurred earlier this month, and he began serving as deputy minister of the Russian Federation's Ministry of Transport in 2017.
Russian media said that a document released by the Russian federal government showed that Sukhanov was dismissed "for his own request."
On October 8, an explosion occurred on the strategic Crimea Bridge, killing three civilians and a passing freight train caught fire. Russia called the explosion a "terrorist attack" and accused the Ukrainian government of being responsible. The Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) stated that the Russian side confirmed 12 suspects suspected of participating in the explosion and arrested 8 of them.
