Oxford Cambridge Club Introduction:
Near St James' Palace in central London, there is a Grade II protected building hidden in the city. This is the "Oxford Cambridge Club" which is called "home" by Oxford Cambridge alumni. The Niu Jian Club was founded on May 17, 1830, a club composed of two university members to promote the common interests and integration of alumni.
Visiting this club requires a long time in advance, and only members can visit it, which is quite mysterious.

Club has three spacious and beautifully decorated reading rooms with more than 20,000 books and is managed by a dedicated librarian. The Library Council regularly conducts new procurements. It also works with the London Library, the largest private library in the world, which means members can borrow more than 1 million books from the London Library.
Niujian Club also has an elegant cafe, two bars, multiple bedrooms and a large number of sports facilities such as snooker , golf and squash . In addition, bridge and chess are also social games for members.
Club regularly invites well-known figures in the world in politics, business and academic circles to deliver speeches. Queen of Denmark Margaret II , King of Norway Haral V , British Justice Minister Falkner, and Royal Society President Nass have given speeches at the club. Chinese Ambassador to the UK Liu Xiaoming (pictured below) was a visiting club and became the first Chinese ambassador to give a speech here.
member review is extremely strict, and the president of the European branch of "International Sincerity and Brand" (IIAB) is a member of the club.
Niu Jian Club was formed in March 1972 by the merger of United University Club and Oxford Cambridge Club. At that time, the club had 2897 male members and 563 female members with local authority. Since Niu Jian Club had only male members at the beginning of its establishment, women could only come to the club as family members or accompany them, and the places they can go to and the services they use were very limited.
In February 1996, the club passed the resolution with an overwhelming majority of votes, giving women the qualification to become a formal member and entering all areas of the club without any obstacles. In March 1997, Queen Margaret II of Denmark became the first female member to receive the honorary title. In June 2017, the club elected the first female chairman.
Club currently has 4,500 members, spread all over the world. Historically, British Prime Minister Palmerston, Duke of Wellington, poet Eliot and novelist Thackeray have all been members. Currently, the husbands of the Duke of Edinburgh, the Crown Prince of Charles, the Queen of Denmark Margaret II, King Haral V of Norway, King of Belgium, King of Philip , etc. are all honorary members of the club.
