On August 23, 2017, a woman was escorted by her female secretary and entourage and sat in a silver Toyota Camry in a low profile. She wore a black hat and covered her face with a black mask, obviously not wanting to be recognized by others. At this moment, she was about to leave her hometown where she had lived for 50 years and go to Dubai to take refuge. This woman is Yingluck Sinava, former Thai Prime Minister and Secretary of State.
Yingluck escaped and took one of the vehicles that Yingluck escaped - Toyota Camry
Yingluck was born in one of the largest family in Thailand - the Sivana family. Her grandfather Qiu Zhiqin was from Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, my country. She came to Thailand to make a living in her early years, and by Yingluck's generation, she was already the fourth generation of Thai Chinese. Before Yingluck became prime minister, her title was "Tathin's sister". As the youngest among the nine children of the Sinava family, Yingluck, who is famous and has a good appearance, is the focus of attention wherever she goes. But his brother, Thaksin, shining too brightly.
Yingluck
When he was a student, the Sinava family has been rooted in Thailand for many years, and Thaksin has also inherited the business minds of his ancestors. In the 1980s, he founded his own "Sinava Computer Services and Investment Company" and used his relationships in the banking and political circles to make huge profits. By the mid-1990s, he had become the richest man in Thailand.
In 1994, Thaksin, who was in the business world, began to work in politics, and the accumulation of his personal assets has also become a stepping stone for his participation in politics. Thaksin started with the Foreign Minister and became the Prime Minister of Thailand in just 7 years.
Tasin
Tasin's success is not accidental. He comes from a family of merchants.Tasin is very clear about how to implement preferential policies for farmers and other people in the lower class of society. It is not a problem to retain 70% of grassroots voters. It is also because of this that the Sinava family has produced three prime ministers in a row. After Thaksin went into exile overseas, his sister Yingluo firmly locked in the election situation and successfully became the 28th Prime Minister of Thailand and the first female prime minister in the country.
The people-friendly Yingluck
Before becoming a beautiful manager, Yingluck had no political experience and had never held any public office. After she came to power, in addition to playing her brother's "love card", she also did not forget to give full play to her own female advantages to create a friendly image for the people. At any time, people can always see Yingluck smiling and praying together. Whether on the domestic or international stage, Yingluck's image and temperament are a beautiful landscape.
Originally, Yingluck could be a legend in Thailand's political circles, but the "Amnesty Act" and the "Rice Debt Case" made her fall from the altar and become a prisoner.
In November 2013, 100,000 Thai people went to the streets to demonstrate, forcing the Yingluck government to resign. All this is attributed to Yingluck’s “amnesty bill” proposed. According to Thai tradition, on the birthday of the Thai king, some misdemeanors have the opportunity to receive the king's pushi favor and are pardoned and innocent. Yingluck naturally would not miss such an opportunity. She resisted the opposition and hoped to use this to make her exiled brother Thaksin return to China.
This caused great dissatisfaction among the Thai elite. Former Thai Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Tesuban walked to the streets and led demonstrators to cheer, intending to overthrow the "Thaksin system." At this time, Yingluck felt unprecedented pressure from governing. Her original intention was to let her brother go home, but she unexpectedly caused anger. Fortunately, Thaksin's "Red Shirts" representing the grassroots class publicly supported Yingluck, and Yingluck was able to continue to serve as prime minister.

The "Amnesty Act" greatly reduced Yingluck's image in China, while the "rice malfeasance case" directly ended Yingluck's political career. As early as 2011 when Yingluck ran for Thailand's Prime Minister, she promised the majority of farmers' voters:
"The government will earn rice in the hands of farmers at high prices to increase Thai farmers' income"
itself, Thailand's rice production and quality are not high, and there is no imported rice that is competitive. So Yingluck's approach has indeed allowed farmers to make some money in the short term. However, with the implementation of the policy, many people found that even if the rice is of poor quality, the government would accept it as a whole. Some businessmen and political leaders discovered "business opportunities" and began to grow rice, or bought the rice directly from Yingluck and then sold it to Yingluck government at a high price. Over time, the quality of rice has become lower and lower, while the international rice gap has been filled by India and Vietnam, and prices have dropped sharply. Not only that, the Yingluck government’s previously promised food purchase funds can no longer be issued. The deficit caused by the rice subsidy policy is increasing. The worst thing is that when Yingluck realized this problem and put it on state affairs, the Thai military, which had been stalemate with the Prime Minister's Office, asked Yingluck to continue to fulfill its promises. Yingluck was in a difficult situation at this time, but there was no better way for a while. The consequences of this incident were: from 2011 to 2014, the government lost 2,000 baht per ton of white rice from acquisition to export. In the past two years, the government's losses reached as much as one billion US dollars. In May 2014, Yingluck was charged with malfeasance and was forced to step down, ending her two-year and nine-month career as prime minister.
Between May 23, 2014 and July 21, 2017, Yingluck himself attended his own trial hearing and showed no sign of running away. However, Yingluck finally chose to leave.
Yingluck's escape from Bangkok was full of twists and turns.
August 23, 2017 At 6:20 pm, Yingluck and the female secretary wore black masks and hats, took a Mercedes-Benz to the receiving point, and the deputy director of the Bangkok Police Department, Janett, drove a police car to escort them away. After the Mercedes-Benz drove to the residential area of Lifufu County, a Toyota Camry slowly drove out of the alley next to it. Yingluck and his secretary walked out of the Mercedes-Benz and turned around to the Toyota Camry.
At around 10 pm on August 23, the vehicle arrived at Shakao Mansion, Thailand. It is 200 kilometers east of Bangkok and about 48 kilometers away from the Thai-Cambodia border. The first destination for Yingluck and others to leave is Cambodia. In the end, Toyota Camry stopped at Alan Yabajie in Shakao Province, which borders Cambodia to the east.
After a short while, a strange man of 180 took Yingluck to a 4-door pickup truck, and the car drove into Cambodia. According to post-event statistics, as many as 14 senior police officers and politicians from northern Thailand, Pha Mansion, Saga Mansion and other places who assisted Yingluck in the escape. However, a lawyer in Thailand who did not want to be named pointed out:
"It is difficult for these people to determine their guilt because the court issued an arrest warrant on August 25."
Yingluck's escape caused an uproar in Thailand. Prayut Zhan Ocha, who took over Yingluck's position as Prime Minister, laughed:
"You really don't have the courage to face the verdict so bravely? You disappeared after attracting the public's sympathy and bluffing?"
But no matter what, Yingluck successfully left Thailand, passed through Cambodia, Singapore, and finally arrived in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. Since then, Yingluck's whereabouts have become a mystery. It was not until August 30, 2017 that Yingluck appeared on her brother Thaksin’s social media account. In the photo, Yingluo held his brother Thaksin's arm tightly, and Thaksin also had a smile on his face. He quoted the famous quote from Enlightenment thinker Montesquieu, and was accused of "hiding mysteries."
On December 12, 2018, it was reported that Yingluck had served as the chairman and legal person of Guangdong Container Company. Perhaps it is too high-profile. In less than half a month as a director and legal person, Yingluck stepped down as chairman due to "technical adjustments".
Although Yingluck cannot return to her motherland at present, judging from her recent photos, her personal life is also fulfilling. Without the power to join in, she can live the second half of her life safely.
