The maximum wind speed near the typhoon center is 45 meters per second. According to Japanese media reports, houses were damaged and trees fell to the ground in Miyazaki Prefecture, Kumamoto Prefecture, Kagoshima Prefecture, , Hiroshima Prefecture, Kochi Prefecture, and about 20 people were injured in the typhoon.
"Nanmadu" also brought heavy rain to most parts of Jiuzhou. As of 1 a.m. local time on the 19th, rainfall in Kumamoto , Shizuoka and Oita has exceeded 30 mm.

Japan Meteorological Agency also issued a "special warning for heavy rain" equivalent to the highest alert level 5 to Miyazaki Prefecture. Call for the greatest warning of geological disasters, rising river water levels and flooding.
Affected by the typhoon, various Japanese railway companies and airlines have canceled relevant operating lines and flights. Whether the recovery will be determined on the 19th will depend on the typhoon situation.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, "Nammadu" landed again near Yanagawa City, Fukuoka Prefecture, northern Kyushu at around 3 a.m. local time on the 19th.
