The pilot plan implemented by the non-profit organization "4 Day Week Global" shows that four-day working system is feasible .
"Global Four Days Work" A survey released on Tuesday found that of more than 70 UK companies that have implemented four days work, 78% of leaders said they had achieved a smooth or “seamless” transition. Only 2% find it challenging. Most people (88%) said that four-day working hours are valid .

At present, this six-month pilot program is being carried out in the UK, the United States, New Zealand , Australia, Ireland and Canada, covering more than 180 companies . In this program, employers usually turn to the four-day, 32-hour work system (which will vary depending on the position and industry), but there will be no salary cuts.
In the UK pilot, the companies surveyed midway had a total of 3,300 employees. The program has partnered with 4 Day Week Campaign and think tank Autonomy, and has established data collection partnerships with researchers at Boston College, Cambridge University and Oxford University .
- Great success? Nearly all UK companies (86%) involved in the pilot program said they may maintain a four-day schedule after the pilot ended in November. Nearly half (49%) of respondents said productivity has improved, and 46% said productivity remained stable.

However, O'Connor also said that not all companies that started the trial completed the project. About one-fifth of employers will withdraw, more than half of them will withdraw during the pre-planning phase. Executives who participated in leading research said they faced a dual challenge, overcoming five-day work norms for employees and industry, and overcoming the tricky task of improving workflows so that the same output can be accomplished within four days.
