In addition to Ed Markey, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, other members of this visiting delegation include Congressmen John Garamendi, Alan Lowenthal, Don Beyer ) and Aumua Amata Coleman Radewagen.
When Markey was a U.S. House of Representatives in 1979, he voted in support of the Taiwan Relations Act. He is one of the few members of Congress who has participated in the legislation of the Taiwan Relations Act and is still in office.
During the visit, the group will meet with Tsai Ing-wen and others before leaving Taiwan on Monday (15th).
