On July 7, a seminar on the judicial protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese co-sponsored by Jinan University and National Judges College was held online. Duan Nonggen, Director of the Research Office of the Supreme People's Court, said in his speech that the People's Court promotes diversified resolution of conflicts and disputes involving overseas Chinese and has formed a four-in-one dispute resolution model of "courts, overseas joint mediation agencies, specially invited overseas mediators, and parties". Sun Xiaoyong, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the National Judges College, introduced the scientific research advantages of the National Judges College as the main center for national judge education and training. He pointed out that the Supreme People's Court and the United Front Work Department planned to establish a "Judicial Protection Research Center for the Rights and Interests of Overseas Chinese" based on the college. , providing intellectual support for the formulation of judicial interpretations and legal policies for the protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese.

This seminar focused on the opportunities and challenges faced by overseas Chinese affairs in the new era and new stage. The participating experts and scholars combined the directors of their respective institutes to conduct heated discussions on hot and difficult issues in the judicial protection of the rights and interests of overseas Chinese.
