In the official recruitment notice in September, Samsung Vietnam announced that its Bac Ninh plant would require 1,000 production personnel. A month ago, the company also announced the recruitment of 3,000 workers for its factory in Taiyuan Province.
South Korean media previously reported that Samsung intends to expand the scale of operations at the Bac Ninh plant in Vietnam, increasing the annual output of the latest Z Fold and Z Flip to 25 million units. Therefore, the demand for related operations and production personnel has also increased.

In addition to production workers, Samsung Vietnam is also looking for thousands of employees to serve the group's R&D work. The company invested 220 million U.S. dollars to build a research and development center in Hanoi with about 2,200-3,000 employees. The center is expected to be put into use in 2022.
Another South Korean company LG is also recruiting at its Haiphong factory. The positions sought include workers, lawyers, general affairs assistants, information technology assistants, R&D engineers, production engineers, and security technical engineers.
From the end of August to now, LG's labor recruitment department in Vietnam has published notices for recruiting technicians many times. The average salary of a technician position is between 9.5-13 million VND (approximately 2700-3700 yuan).
In addition to engineers, the LG Display factory in Haiphong also announced the need to recruit 5,000 production workers, with an average income of approximately VND8.50-11.6 million (approximately RMB 2,400-3300). LG Display ’s recruitment department announced: “Due to the impact of the epidemic, the factory only recruits personnel in Haiphong, and temporarily cannot recruit personnel from outside the province.”
LG Vietnam factory that produces mobile phone camera modules
LG It has three large factories in Haiphong, Vietnam. LG Electronics specializes in the production of mobile phones, TVs, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, and refrigerators. LG Innotek specializes in the production of smartphone camera modules,LG Display's Vietnam factory produces screen products. At the end of April this year, LG offered to sell its smartphone factory in Haiphong, which used to be LG's largest smartphone production factory, with an average annual production capacity of 10 million mobile devices. Starting June 1, LG Electronics’ production lines and workers have all been transferred to home appliance production.
At the same time, Samsung has 6 factories in Ho Chi Minh City , Hanoi, Bac Ninh and Taiyuan, with a total investment of more than 17.5 billion U.S. dollars. These factories specialize in the production of handheld devices and home appliances, and employ more than 160,000 local workers. In the context of the global spread of the epidemic from January to July this year, Samsung still achieved a 10% growth rate over the same period. The general manager of Samsung Vietnam said that if the factory in Ho Chi Minh City resumes normal operations in the near future, the company may complete its export target for this year ahead of schedule.
