1. Cause of the disease:
Bacterial infection of the lungs causes inflammation of the lung parenchyma.
Common pathogens include Pseudomonas aeruginosa , Pseudomonas aeruginosa, pneumococcal , Pasteuris , Staphylococcus, Streptococcus , etc., which are mostly mixed infections or secondary bacterial infections.
2. Clinical symptoms
Respiratory symptoms or systemic symptoms; respiratory symptoms include wet cough, nasal purulent secretions, shortness of breath or respiratory distress (teacher 5 pneumonia is rarely seen with cough ). Systemic symptoms include drowsiness , anorexia, fever and weight loss.
Lung auscultation may hear rales , and occasionally you will hear wheezing when exhaling. Abnormal lung sounds are often obvious in the anterior abdomen of the lung field.
3. Diagnosis of
The diagnosis of bacterial pneumonia requires clinical symptoms, CBC, chest film examination, cytology analysis and bacterial culture of tracheal flushing.
- Clinical symptoms: cough, runny nose fluid, dyspnea , body temperature rise, abnormal lung sounds in lung auscultation.
- CBC examination
shows neutrophil leukocytic lesions accompanied by left nuclear shift, but the normal leukocytic may also occur in the later stage of the disease, or the C-reactive protein is increased.
- chest film: Alveolar type (cloud flocculation shadow, air bronchial sign, interlobular cleft) When pneumonia occurs, the density of the lung field will increase and the contrast will decrease. Cloud flocculation or nodule shadows may be seen under X-ray (see Figure 3). In severe cases, atelectasis on one or more sides of the lung lobes can be seen, and mouth-opening breathing phenomenon occurs. 4. Treatment
Treatment principles: antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, symptomatic therapy.
Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory: the combination of broad-spectrum antibiotics. . Oral doxycycline 10 mg/kg,po,q24h or marpofloxacin 2 mg/kg,po,q24h;
sirloin 15 mg/kg,sc,q12h+ amikacin 15 mg/kg,sc,q24h. For animals with severe symptoms or may have sepsis and life-threatening animals, cefoquinixine 2 mg/kg, im or sc, SID can be used for five consecutive days.
Expected phlegm and relieve cough: When coughing frequently and there is phlegm, you can use phlegm-reducing medicine. Mushutan 0.8-1mg/kg, sc, q24h
Antipyretic analgesic: When the body temperature rises, antipyretic agents can be used. Pain-realization, 0.08-0.1ml/kg,sc,q24h.
When animals experience dyspnea and severe hypoxia, oxygen should be given. Infusion is maintained when anorexia and dehydrated.
