This group of temporarily suspended "guests" not only include ordinary egrets and herons , but also the figures of endangered species, national second-class protected animal - white spoonbills . Photographer Chen Zhengbiao told reporters that there were 20 white spoonbills staying on site to rest. White spoonbills are white wading birds, which are birds of Ibis family. They have long legs like egrets and have flat and wide mouths like pipas. "When shooting, I found that there was a type of bird's beak that was flat and very cute. Later I learned that it was actually a white spoonbill!" Another photographer, Qiu Shuanghua, said excitedly.

According to reports, the breeding areas of white spoonbills are mainly in northern regions such as Xinjiang and Heilongjiang in my country, and are wintering in the southeastern coastal areas such as the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan and their adjacent islands. They migrate from the wintering ground in the spring from early April to the end of April to the northern breeding ground from to the late wintering ground, and from the end of September to the end of October in the autumn. The white spoonbill chose to transit Pingjiang on the way southward and stayed here for several days. It is the "judgment" of Pingjiang's good ecological environment.

Chen Zhengbiao has been photographing the birds in Pingjiang for ten years. This is his first time to photograph a white spoonbill. "In the past two years, I have photographed a national second-class protected animal in Pingjiang, including mandarin duck , eagle eagle , kestral falcon , red-footed falcon , pine and sparrow eagle and other dozens of other types. national first-class protected animal has yellow-breasted buntings." More and more rare birds appeared in Pingjiang, which is a witness to the increasingly better ecological environment of Pingjiang.
