Zhao Chenyu, a staff member of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention in District CDC, told reporters: "The focus of rabies is to prevent and not treat it. Therefore, if you are bitten by a suspicious animal, we must attach great importance to it, correctly handle the wound, and go to the hospital for vaccination as soon as possible."
It is understood that rabies is also known as " hydrophobia ", which is mainly an animal-derived infectious disease caused by rabies virus infection. The incubation period ranges from 5 days to several years, usually 2-3 months, rarely exceeding 1 year. Once the disease occurs, there is almost a 100% mortality rate. However, as long as personal protection is taken, rabies can be prevented. Vaccination with rabies vaccination and immunoglobulin in rabies patients is the best way to prevent it.
