It was transported back to Qinghai Lake and released into the original river channel.

Huangyu, whose scientific name is "Qinghai Lake naked carp", is a national second-level protected animal and is a core species in the "water-bird-fish" ecological chain of Qinghai Lake. Since 2001, Qinghai Province has implemented a comprehensive lake closure policy for fish cultivation. In 2003, the Qinghai Lake Naked Carp Rescue Center was established to actively carry out artificial breeding and release of fish.
