Actor Jeremy Renner is in a "critical but stable condition" after being involved in a horrific weather-related accident, a spokesperson has confirmed.
A spokesman for the 51-year-old Hawkeye star, a two-time Oscar nominee, said he suffered serious injuries and had to be airlifted to hospital on Sunday.
"We can confirm that Jeremy was injured after a weather-related incident while clearing snow earlier today and is in critical but stable condition," a spokesperson told Hollywood .
They continued: "His family are with him and he is being looked after well."
Details about the accident are currently unknown.
While the spokesperson did not reveal where the accident occurred, local media recently reported that the actor owned a house near Mt Rose-Ski Tahoe.
reports that more than 17,500 homes in the area are without power after a huge New Year's Eve storm hit. Fans took to Twitter to express their best wishes for Renner's safety and speedy recovery.
"I hope he pulls through. This is horrible," one person tweeted.

The two-time Oscar-nominated actor is also the star of the ongoing crime TV show The Mayor of Kingston, which follows a family of power brokers in a small Michigan town "where the incarceration industry is the only industry that thrives."
Renner was nominated for an Academy Award for his performances in the films "The Hurt Locker" and "The Town."
