The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued a communiqué on the evening of the 225th, saying that Senior Assistant Commissioner of the Police, Yi Ming, was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of the Police Force, replacing the retiring Deputy Commissioner (Management) Kwok Yin-shu, with an effective date of April 28, 2022. After this adjustment, the "one chief and three deputy" senior police officers are: Chief Xiao Zeyi, Deputy Chief (Operations) Yuan Xujian, Deputy Chief (Management) Yi Ming, and Deputy Chief (National Security) Liu Cihui.
Zhou Ming's resume is as follows:
Zhou Ming, 49 years old, joined the Hong Kong Police Force in 1995 as an inspector. Most of the time, he is responsible for criminal investigation and intelligence collection at the division, district, regional and headquarters levels. During this period, he accumulated rich working experience in criminal investigation, criminal intelligence and policy formulation. In 2010, he was promoted to superintendent and served in the criminal headquarters. From 2012 to 2013, he was seconded to the Interpol Secretariat in Lyon, France, as Director of Criminal Intelligence.
In 2013, he was promoted to senior superintendent and became deputy commander of the Criminal Intelligence Division. In 2016, he was further promoted to Chief Superintendent and became the head of the Criminal Intelligence Division. In 2017, he served as the District Commander of Yau Tsim Police District. In early 2019, he was appointed as the deputy commander of the Kowloon West Region. In February 2020, he was promoted to Assistant Director and successively took charge of the Operations Department and the Human Resources Department. In January 2021, he was promoted to Senior Assistant Commissioner of the Police and served as Director of the Personnel and Training Division; in August of the same year, he took over as the Director of the Crime and Security Division.
