According to the British Daily Star on March 13, Ukraine's first female volunteer army lieutenant, 39-year-old Iryna Sergeyeva, recently warned those girls who want to join the battle not to romanticize the war, but to be clear about what they are doing, not to be able to go out to fight with a gun.
According to the " Daily Mail ", Sergeyeva joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 2017 and became a reserve soldier. She was since then appointed as a lieutenant of the army.
This former media public relations expert is now mainly responsible for organizing the volunteer army in the Kiev area. While encouraging other volunteers to sign up enthusiastically, she also expressed deep concerns about the young people's impulses.
Sergeyeva explained: "I know many young girls are a bit romantic, their heroic spirit is exciting, but I also want to be honest with the girls."
The army lieutenant revealed that young people don't understand how this works at all. In the first few days, many girls came here to want a rifle, and they thought they could go out to fight.
