Recently, the transformed and upgraded Shantou Dongxia Sports Field Track and Field Field was opened to the public. It is reported that in addition to the track and field stadium, the corresponding area of the stadium will be gradually opened to the public after the upgrade and improvement to meet the physical exercise needs of surrounding people.
It is understood that starting from September, the Dongxia Sports Field has been a physical education teaching venue for three schools: Furong Primary School, Magnolia Middle School and Haitang Middle School. The main activity areas are track and field fields, basketball courts and football fields. During spare time, the track and field area of the Dongxia Sports Field is officially open to the public. The specific opening hours are from Monday to Friday 6:30-8:00, 18:00-21:00; Saturday and Sunday 6:30-21:00.
Dongxia Sports Field Renovation and Upgrading Project On the basis of the demolition of the original old badminton hall, a comprehensive gymnasium, a 200-meter track and field field, a 7-person football field, a basketball court, an underground parking garage and other facilities are built. The first floor of the gymnasium is equipped with a 50-meter-long standard swimming pool, which is equipped with a competition standard circulation filtration and disinfection system.
At present, the site has been handed over to the third-party operating unit for management. The operating unit is improving the parking system of the underground garage of the Dongxia Sports Field, installing constant temperature equipment to the swimming pool, and adding lighting and other equipment facilities in the venue. Considering safety issues, the sports field, football field and other venues will be gradually opened to the public after the protection supporting facilities are improved.
