Injection molding machine Safety operation guidelines

Injection molding machine is a high-pressure, fast action, and high-temperature operation. It often causes operators to be careless and cause irreparable personal injury, and regret it for life. Injection molding machines are dangerous in every operation, especially when the pool is opened and locked.

To avoid danger, operators must pay attention to the following safety operation problems when operating:

  • Keep the injection molding machine and its surroundings clean

  • The space around the injection molding machine should be kept unobstructed as much as possible. After adding lubricating oil or pressure oil, the leaked oil should be wiped off as soon as possible

  • Clean the debris (such as glue particles) on the melting glue cylinder before turning on the electric heating to avoid fire. If the machine is not inspected or necessary, the thermal insulation protective cover on the melting cylinder shall not be removed at will.
  • Check whether the mode lock can be terminated by pressing the emergency button or opening the security door during operation. When moving the shooting platform forward, you cannot remove the deep glue leaking from the shooting nozzle by hand to avoid clamping the hand between the shooting platform and the mold.

  • When cleaning the barrel, the injection nozzle temperature should be adjusted to the most appropriate higher temperature to keep the injection nozzle unobstructed. Then, use the low injection pressure and speed to remove the remaining glue in the barrel. Do not directly contact the newly emitted glue when cleaning to avoid burning the quilt.
  • Avoid leaving thermally sensitive and corrosive plastics in the barrel for too long. You should comply with the shutdown and cleaning methods provided by the plastic supplier. When replacing plastic, make sure that the mixing of old and new plastics will not cause chemical reactions (for example, mixing POM and PVC successively will produce toxic gases), otherwise other plastics must be used to remove old materials in the barrel.
  • Before operating the injection molding machine, check whether the mold is firmly installed on the moving template and headboard of the injection molding machine.

  • Pay attention to whether the ground wire and other wiring of the injection molding machine are connected safely.
  • Do not cancel safety doors or safety switches to increase production speed.
  • When installing the mold, the lifting ring must be completely screwed into the mold lifting hole before it can be lifted. After the mold is installed, the length of the injection molding machine safety rod should be adjusted according to the size of the mold. When the safety door is opened, the machine safety stop ( mechanical lock ) falls down to block the injection molding machine lock mold.

  • During normal injection molding production, it is strictly forbidden for operators not to open the safety door and remove the injection molded parts from above or below the injection molding machine. When the mold is inspected or the oil pump motor of the injection molding machine should be turned off in time when the mold is not produced for the time being.

  • When operating the injection molding machine, one operation can be performed, and multiple people are not allowed to operate it. It is prohibited to operate one control panel while the other is adjusting the mold or performing other operations.
