On July 20th local time, British Conservative MPs launched the fifth round of votes against three Conservative party leaders. At around 16:00 local time, the list of two contestants entering the last round was announced. They are: former Chancellor Rich Sunak (137 votes) and Foreign Minister Elizabeth Trass (113 votes).

According to the election rules previously released by Conservative Party , after the first stage of voting was locked in two final candidates, the second stage was about 160,000 Conservative Party members voted, and the winner was appointed as the leader of the new party and the new British Prime Minister.
Boris Johnson announced on the 7th of this month that he would resign as head of the Conservative Party and prime minister, but would remain for the new leader. The final result of the Conservative Party’s top election will be announced on September 5. This means that the day will be announced who will be the next British Prime Minister .
