In order to combine the spirit of volunteer service with strengthening the ideological and moral construction of minors, since 2002, Jiading District General Primary School and Jiading Museum have jointly opened the "Dancheng Youth Voluntary Explanation Team" volunteer service project, guiding young people to regard the Jiading Confucius Temple as the second classroom and learn and inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture in social practice. By providing every student with opportunities to actively participate and increase their talents, we can discover students with both moral integrity and ability and outstanding performance, so that they can temper their strong will in cultural practice and social practice, inspire the emotions of loving their hometown, and gain growth experience.

Regardless of wind, rain, cold and heat, the team members were all windy and rainy, and explained the Confucius Temple culture to tourists with their tender voices, which won the applause of tourists and received enthusiastic letters of praise.

Each semester, the instructor will gather team members to communicate in depth, summarize and improve, and encourage them to make continuous progress. At the same time, guide them to write down their explanations in a timely manner, or communicate with them, or participate in evaluation. Every year on June 1st, the school commends "explanatory talented people" to affirm students' efforts and performance. In 2021, the Tiancheng Youth Explanation Team received more than 400 batches of tourists and had more than 2,800 volunteer service hours.

Many of them also became representatives of the National Young People's Congress and won the titles of Outstanding Young Pioneers Captain and Member of the Municipal and District level.
