On the one hand, the relationship with Ukraine is conflicting, and on the other hand, the West has embargo on Russia. At present, the Russian defense industry has experienced serious problems, and many projects have to stagnate due to the lack of key imported parts.
Since the Soviet era, Moscow has distributed a large number of military-industrial enterprises in Ukraine; even after the collapse of the Soviet Union, Ukraine's domestic military-industrial enterprises still continued their long-term cooperative relations with Russian military-industrial enterprises. However, since last year, Ukraine-Russia relations have changed drastically due to the political situation in Kiev, Russia attempted to annex Crimea, and Moscow supported the separatist armed forces in eastern Ukraine, the cooperative relationship between Ukrainian military-industry enterprises and Russian enterprises has come to an abrupt end.
In June 2014, Ukrainian President Poroshenko officially issued a presidential decree requiring all domestic companies to terminate their cooperative relationship with Russian companies . Among the many original Ukraine-Russia cooperation projects, the design bureau of a large number of large Antonov series transport aircraft in Russia is located in Ukraine. The military embargo has caused the delivery of the new An-70 transport aircraft to be frozen, and the An-140 manufactured by Russian companies has also been forced to stop production.
In the face of sanctions, the Russian government must take measures to fill the gap brought by Europe, the United States and Ukraine. At present, the only country that can fill this gap can only choose China in terms of politics and technology. In fact, before this, China has been exporting a large number of industrial products to Russia, including high-grade military optical glass, and China's automobile engines to Russia have already exceeded six figures every year.
As for the current perspective of China-Russia military industry, although Russia has strong technical accumulation and still has an advantage in many fields, in the long run, due to the lack of national strength and lack of continuous investment in the military industry, especially orders from the Russian army, the Russian military industry is still deteriorating. Under this situation, China, a major industrial power, is becoming more and more important. It is currently only importing parts from China, but it is obvious that in the near future, it is likely that complete Chinese manufacturing will appear in the Russian military sequence. Despite its arrogant national self-esteem, reality forces Russia to accept equipment from China. Compared with the JH-7A, the Su-30MKK has the advantages of large bomb load, long range and strong low-altitude attack capabilities of the JH-7A, while still retaining the good air combat performance of the Su-27 fuselage platform. In particular, the Su-30MKK is equipped with R-77E active radar air-to-air missiles, which also makes my country's air force have the ability to medium-range air combat for the first time.
However, through more than ten years of use after introduction, the performance of Su-30MKK's engines, engines and other systems has gradually lagged behind, and existing problems have begun to be exposed.
The Su-30MKK still uses the AL-31F turbofan engine on the Su-27SK before, but the air weight of the Su-30MKK has increased by about 1 ton compared to the Su-27SK. Therefore, the air combat thrust-weight ratio of the fighter will inevitably decline, and the performance of acceleration, climbing, and stabilization in air combat will be affected.
However, judging from the current information, the situation seems to be very optimistic. Although the thrust of the turbofan-10 in the early stage was at the level of 125 kN and could not meet the needs of the J-16, the subsequent performance-enhanced model increased by about 12% in thrust and reached 140 kN, which is the ideal installed power of the J-16.
The J-16 is currently in mass production and equipment for our army, which actually shows that the engine is no longer a hidden worry for the J-16.
