Nantou County is an important lacquer art town. Teachers Wang Qingshuang, Li Ronglie and Huang Lishu are all famous masters designated by Taiwan. The Seidk people from Zhang Yuying, Zhang Guizhu to Zhang Fengying are three generations of Weaver Girls, who inherit their exquisite skills. Lin Rongsen, the local cultural director, said that lacquer art and weaving are precious assets, so the publication of special books has been passed down to the present.

In order to let more people understand Seidek weaving and traditional lacquer art technology, the Cultural Bureau commissioned Zhang Fengying and Huang Shihui, a team of teachers from Yunlin University of Science and Technology, to assist in the compilation of "Three Generations of Weaver Girls - The Skills and Memory of a Seidek Family" and "Brief History of Lacquer Art Development in Nantou County". On the 15th, the Cultural Bureau held a new book publishing meeting, hoping to let people feel the mystery of craftsmanship through special books and exhibitions.

Zhang Fengying said that "Three Generations of Weaver Girls" records the cultural background and social changes of ethnic minorities, introduces weaving techniques and material production, and leaves records for precious cultural assets. The book shows the journey of the Three Generations of Weaver Girls. Each generation has different practices and backgrounds, and the goals presented and pursued in each era are also different. Only when my grandmother weaving clothes in the age of the family can wear clothes; my mother's era took off due to the economy, and focused on making goods from tourist areas; she continued to conduct systematic training courses after being registered as the preserver of Seidke's traditional weaving craftsmanship by the Nantou County Cultural Bureau in 2012, hoping to provide a foundation for creation and development for future generations of Weaver Girls.
