IT Home reported on October 13 that TSMC issued an announcement today that in the third quarter ended September 30, 2022, consolidated revenue was NT$613.14 billion NT$ (about NT$138.57 billion), a year-on-year increase of 47.9% and a month-on-month increase of 14.8%; net profit was NT$280.87 billion (about NT$63.477 billion), a year-on-year increase of 79.7% and a month-on-month increase of 18.5%; diluted earnings per share was NT$10.83, a year-on-year increase of 79.8%.

IT Home learned that TSMC's gross profit margin in the third quarter was 60.4%, operating profit margin was 50.6%, and net profit margin was 45.8%. In the third quarter, 5-nanometer shipments accounted for 28% of total wafer revenue; 7-nanometer shipments accounted for 26%. 7nm and more advanced processes account for 54% of total wafer revenue.
