After graduation, Dr. Banham worked as a senior researcher at Ballard. During his six years, his research work mainly focused on the design of membrane electrode assembly (MEA) and catalyst coated membrane (CCM). In addition, he also led an international research team to successfully develop the world's first commercial proton exchange membrane prepared with a cathode using a non-metallic catalyst (NPMC).
