Zhangyu Brewing Company was founded in 1892 by Nanyang Patriotic Overseas Chinese Zhang Bishi invested 3 million taels of silver. According to the public announcement attachment, the "List of the First Batch of National Industrial Heritage to be recognized and the project overview", the Zhangyu Winemaking Company's heritage project is located at No. 56, Dama Road, Zhifu District, Yantai City, , Shandong Province, connecting to Binhai Plaza in the east, Jiefang Road in the west, Dama Road in the south, and Guangren Road in the north. Core items include: underground wine cellar, "Zhangyu Brewing Company" old door, " Zhangyu Road" stone tablet and Changyu Earth Stone, 1892 Club (Zhang Bishi's former residence) and Changyu Vault, Asian barrel king and imported oak barrel in the Qing Dynasty, board and frame filter, distiller, Changyu Venus Gaoyue brandy in the Republic of China and other early products, Sun Yat-sen's "Pinzhong Liquan" in 1912, Panama World Expo medal in 1915, and 1937 Xiebaina registration certificate.
As we all know, China's grape cultivation history can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty, but the industrial production of wine and brandy began with the establishment of Changyu Winemaking Company in 1892. Its signature is the introduction of European wine-making grape varieties, the purchase of wine-making equipment, the construction of underground wine cellars, the aging of oak barrels, and the use of glass bottles and cork packaging. The Yantai Survey published in the 66th issue of the Guide Weekly in 1924 describes Zhangyu Winemaking Company as follows: "The founder of the company is Zhang Bishi, who constructs buildings, builds houses and houses, covering an area of more than 60 acres. The vineyards are planted, covering an area of more than 1,000 workers all year round. The wine cellar is more than 100 feet wide, completely made of solid stones, and there are fourteen kinds of products. Now the general manager is Zhang Zhiyu (Zhang Bishi's eldest son), and he has a vineyard in the mountains of Dongshanxi. The grape pressing machines, wine rooms, cellars and wine storage barrels are built in the factory, and the structure is wonderful.
