Zhang Qishen, chief representative of the Shanghai Representative Office of the Taiwan Trade Center, said that there are 70 to 80 indicator factories in East China, including Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, forming a group of hundreds of people to purchase and exhibitions, and finalizing the trip to Taiwan next week. "Except East China, nearly 10 regions in mainland China are making arrangements separately, with a group of buyers reaching hundreds of people."
The 2019 Taipei International Machine Tool Exhibition hosted by the Taiwan Machinery Industry Association is the third largest machine tool exhibition in the world. It will be held in the Nangang Exhibition Hall 1 and 2 and the World Trade Hall 1 and 3 for six consecutive days starting from March 4. This year's Machine Tool Exhibition takes Industry 4.0 and Smart Machinery as the main axis, and is estimated to create NT$2 billion order business opportunities. Among them, the contributions of mainland purchasing groups are worth looking forward to.
Zhang Qishen said that mainland manufacturers come to Taiwan in groups not to participate in the exhibition, but to watch the exhibition as a buyer and then make moves. Purchasing is the biggest purpose, and they will also observe the new technologies and new products of Taiwanese manufacturers and further exchanges and cooperation.
It is worth noting that this year, the mainland will expand the purchase of precision machinery, tool machines and smart machinery in Taiwan, mainly due to the impact of the Sino-US trade war. Mainland factories will build a second supply chain, so the scale of mainland purchasing groups is even higher than in previous years.

In addition, AI smart machine tools are the highlight of purchasing. Mainland manufacturing industry is transforming and upgrading, and there is a large demand for automated robots and IoT devices. In particular, mainland factories are facing upgrading from traditional controllers to touch panel controllers. The AI smart machine tools market opportunities are optimistic.
