An important basis of this partnership is that both parties intend to create new fan experiences in the era of Smart World. This surreal viewing was proven successfully in Game 3 of the American League Division Series, a match between the Houston Astros and the Tampa Bay Rays launched by Doosan was held at the Tropicana Field Stadium. NTT has installed multiple 4K cameras on the court that transmit high-definition images (12K wide) in real time to the viewing area ultra-wide screen (90.6 inches x 469 inches) of the MLB Network Studio in Secaucus, NJ and provides 6-channel surround sound , including the original audio signal. This URV technology creates a particularly transformative sensory effect that brings remote viewers to the on-site atmosphere of the court.
Enterprise partners were also invited to participate in the viewing event to raise awareness of other potential uses of this surreal viewing experience technology. NTT and MLB will continue to work to expand the use of URV technology to provide a new and exciting fan experience in other games.

About Surreal Viewing
Surreal Viewing (Ultra Reality Viewing) is NTT's real-time ultra-high-definition surround video synthesis technology. It combines multiple 4K camera images into one ultra-wide image (such as 12K) in real time and transmits them to a remote location synchronously. With ultra-high-definition surround video technology that is not captured by ordinary cameras, and audio technology that can generate raw sound and transmit it to a remote location without losses and time difference, and then regenerate certain sound fields at remote locations, viewers watch sports games or events as if they were watching games in a stadium, event site or theater. This is a reliable solution based on NTT's unique R&D technology "Kirari!(*1)". The solution has been successfully implemented in Japan and has excellent results in improving viewing and fan experience for viewers.
