On October 10, Ms. Zhang, a citizen of Wuhan, asked for help from Jimu News Hotline, saying that her cousin went fishing under the Erqi Yangtze River Bridge at noon on October 8, and then lost contact, hoping to find relevant clues.
Xiong Tao
Ms. Zhang told reporters that her cousin is named Xiong Tao, she is 31 years old, married and has a son, and is mentally and physically healthy. At around 11:40 noon on October 8, Xiong Tao rode an electric bike from his home on Qiuchang Road, Jiang'an District to fish on the riverside. During this period, he was traveling with his fishing friend Mr. Zhao (pseudonym), and the surveillance camera on the river embankment also captured the scene of the two people walking together.
"The fishing friend said that they went to the riverside at about one o'clock and started fishing. The two were about 200 meters apart." Ms. Zhang said, "It took about ten or twenty minutes to catch my brother and the fishing friend to find out that my brother was missing." Fishing friend Mr. Zhao went to Xiong Tao's fishing location to check the situation and found that electric vehicles and fishing supplies were there, but Xiong Tao and the fishing rod disappeared. Seeing this, Mr. Zhao quickly contacted Xiong Tao's wife to inform him of the situation.
Xiong Tao's wife Ms. Fu said: "I received a call from a fishing friend and called Xiong Tao, but his cell phone was in the electric car basket. After that, I didn't think about it in a bad direction and didn't take this situation seriously." Until 4 pm that day, she had not been able to contact Xiong Tao. After a while, Xiong Tao's mobile phone was turned off and she realized that something might have happened. So he quickly reported the case to the police station and contacted other families.
"We went to the police station to retrieve the surveillance. The last scene of Xiong Tao was riding a bicycle with a fishing friend on the river embankment. No other clues were found." Xiong Tao's cousin Ms. Zhang said that although it was not confirmed, Xiong Tao was likely to fall into the river. The family members have contacted someone to salvage Xiong Tao, but they still have nothing to do. Xiong Tao's family, from 70-year-olds to six-year-old children, are very anxious now, hoping that witnesses can provide relevant clues. No matter what Xiong Tao is in the current situation, they all hope to find Xiong Tao.
On the night of October 8, the family also found Xiong Tao's electric car and other items, but the mobile phone in the car basket disappeared, and the phone was turned off and could not be connected. From 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. from October 9, Xiong Tao's phone could be connected but no one answered it. After 3 p.m., the phone turned off again.
"I hope that the person who picked up this phone can provide some clues about my cousin and help us find him." Ms. Zhang said, "We also hope to find this phone because there is a lot of information closely related to Xiong Tao."
