Recently, the "Special Design and Industrial Application of Cold Rollers forged High-speed Steel Rolls in Full Line" project independently designed and developed by China Steel Group Xingtai Machinery Roller Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Steel Xing Machinery) won the Metallurgical Science and Technology Award. The full-line forged high-speed steel rolling roll has been successfully promoted to more than 60 large-scale well-known steel enterprises at home and abroad, including Baosteel, Wuhan Iron and Steel, Handan Iron and Steel, and the physical quality, performance indicators and usage effects of the products have reached the advanced level of international similar products, playing a positive role in helping my country improve the quality of high-end cold-rolled sheets.

In recent years, with the rapid and intelligent development of cold rolling mills, rolling materials have been continuously upgraded to high-precision, high-quality and ultra-thinness. The accident resistance and roughness maintenance capabilities of traditional CrMo steel series cold rolls can no longer meet the needs of modern cold rolling mills, improve the production efficiency of rolling mills, reduce roll replacement frequency, and reduce roll consumption, and product upgrades are imminent.

Zhonggang Xing Machinery relies on the "3C" national rolling research platform of the National Rolling Research Institute, the National Enterprise Technology Center, and the National Rolling Composite Materials Key Laboratory. In response to the differences in the roll performance of various stands of the cold-rolled plate and strip roll mill, it independently designed and developed a full-line forged high-speed steel rolling roll covering the cold-rolled plate and strip working rolls and intermediate rolls, and developed 15 special materials for cold-rolled forged high-speed steel rolls, breaking through the key technologies for the manufacturing and application of forged high-speed steel rolls, and overcome manufacturing problems such as stress, cracks, and grain size control of large-scale forged high-speed steel rolls. It has realized the application of full-line forged high-speed steel rolls for cold-rolled plates for the first time, successfully filling the domestic gap.
