Why is the birthday of the Communist Party of China July 1st not July 23rd?

On July 23, 1921, The First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Shanghai, but why is the party’s birthday July 1? After the founding of the Communist Party of China, due to the cruelty of the struggle, there was no condition for organizing unified activities to commemorate the party's birthday for a long time. The view of July 1st as the birthday of the Communist Party of China was proposed by Comrade Mao Zedong in May 1938.

At that time, Mao Zedong proposed in his article " on the protracted war ": "July 1 this year is the 17th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China." This is the first time that the central leadership has clearly stated that "July 1st" is the anniversary of the birth of the Party. At that time, the founders of the Party that once participated in the First National Congress in Yan'an were Mao Zedong and Dong Biwu. They recalled that the First Congress was held in July, but in that special era, they could no longer remember the exact date of the meeting. In June 1941, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Instructions on the 20th Anniversary of the Birth of the Communist Party of China and the Fourth Anniversary of the War of Resistance Against Japan." According to the spirit of the instructions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, each base area carried out various forms of commemorative activities around July 1, 1941 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. From this time on, July 1st of each year will be the anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Why did Mao Zedong fail to attend the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China?

When the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China was held, the political environment in Shanghai was very severe, and the Central Bureau had a lot of effort to choose Fu Delhi as the meeting place. Back then, Fu Delhi was at the intersection of Public Concession and French Concession . The same Shikumen houses were connected to each other, making Fu Delhi not conspicuous. The civilian girl’s school founded by our party corrects the back door of Li Da’s house. In case of emergencies, it will be easier to evacuate in time. This is also a contact site for the Communist Party of China in Shanghai. In view of the lessons learned by the First Congress of the Communist Party of China that were interfered by French police, the Second Congress of the Communist Party of China has taken strict confidentiality measures. For the safety of the meeting, Li Da’s wife Wang Huiwu held the child and stood guard at the door.

Mao Zedong said in 1936 when he was talking to American journalist Edgar Snow in a cave in northern Shaanxi. "That winter (note: it should be summer), the second party congress was held in Shanghai. I wanted to attend, but I forgot the meeting place and couldn't find any comrades, so I couldn't attend."

How does the discipline inspection agency come into being?

On May 9, 1927, the Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China elected the Central Supervisory Commission for the first time in the history of the Party, consisting of 7 formal members and 3 alternate members, and Wang Hebo was the chairman. The focus of the work is mainly to maintain the political discipline of the Party and organizational discipline, including strictly holding Party members who fail to implement Party resolutions and violate Party discipline, and dealing with them seriously in accordance with Party discipline. The Central Supervisory Commission is the first time in the history of the Party that it has established a special discipline inspection agency and is also the predecessor of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. In more than a year after the establishment of the Central Supervisory Commission, the work of the Supervisory Commission was difficult to carry out due to the tragic persecution of most members during the revolution. However, the establishment of the Central Supervisory Commission has improved the Party system, laid an important foundation for the development of Party discipline, and has a far-reaching impact on the history of Party building.

Why were the Six Congresses held in Moscow?

Due to the serious white terror in China at that time, it was difficult to find a place to ensure safety for meetings. In addition, the Fourth Congress of Red Workers International and the Sixth Congress of Communist International were held in Moscow in the spring and summer of that year. The Communist International will also hold the Fifth Congress in Moscow. Considering that the Communist Party of China will send delegations to attend these conferences, and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China also hopes to receive timely guidance from the Communist International, the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of China was held in Moscow.

What is the sign of China entering the primary stage of socialism ?

In September 1952, Mao Zedong proposed: "We will now start to basically complete the transition to socialism in 10 to 15 years." From the second half of 1952 to 1956, it took only 4 years for the New China to complete the socialist transformation of agriculture, handicrafts and capitalist industry and commerce, and realized the transformation of private ownership of means of production into socialist public ownership, so that China can move from new democratic society to socialist socialist society, and my country has initially established a basic socialist system. Yuan Longping's team successfully cultivated strong advantages indica hybrid rice

Yuan Longping published a paper "Male Infertility of Rice" in 1966 to open the curtain of research on hybrid rice . In the winter of 1968, he led the team to Hainan Island and began to carry out rice breeding in Sanya Nanhong Farm. On November 23, 1970, Feng Keshan, then a technician at Nanhong Farm, took Yuan Longping's assistant, Li Bihu , and found natural male sterile wild rice. After learning the news, Yuan Longping, who was in Beijing, took a train to , Sanya, and hailed the wild rice as "Wild Defeat". The research on the "three-series" hybrid rice has thus opened a breakthrough, and China's hybrid rice industry has also opened a new chapter. In 1973, Yuan Longping's team successfully cultivated strongly advantageous indica hybrid rice for the first time in the world.
